January 28th from 6-8pm

You are invited to join us on Tuesday, January 28th from 6-8pm for our next Dovetail event!

We will be exploring our current gallery show, Altars of Reconciliation, curated by CIVA and featuring work by three Native artists Bobby C. Martin (Muscogee Creek), Erin Shaw (Chickasaw-Choctaw), and Tony Tiger (Sac & Fox, Muscogee, Seminole). Their work wrestles and reckons with the history of colonization of Native tribes in the South-Eastern part of the United States, the role Christianity played it that history, and how the artists, who are Christians, have reconciled their faith, their history, and their identity.

Starting at 6pm, enjoy an open house time where you can view the work in the gallery and sample a locally sourced, Ozarkian menu crafted by Alex Braden. Then, at 7pm, grab a seat and enjoy a poetry reading by Galen Gritts and a story-telling and flute performance by one of the artists in the show, Bobby C. Martin and his wife, Stephanie Martin.

Attendees are also encouraged to bring along a photograph of someone who has influenced their own faith journey (any religion or no religion) to share temporarily on a photo wall.

Tickets are required for this event. We have different pricing tiers; please choose the one that best suits your budget. If those tiers are still a barrier, email us at intersectstl@gmail.com as we do have some scholarships for tickets available.

Thank you for your financial contribution to support this meal, exhibition, and performance experience for yourself and others!

Contribution levels are $15, $25, $50, $100

If you would like to attend, but are unable to pay at this time, we would love to speak with you. Please email us at intersectstl@gmail.com and we will be in contact with you soon.
